Derrel Ho-Shing

Derrel Ho-Shing is a Photographic Artist based out of Toronto Canada, who specializes in Weddings and Portraits. He is most known for his use of off camera flash and dramatic lighting. He is a Top Pro Ambassador for Westcott Lighting.

He started his journey with photography in 2009, and immediately fell in love with off camera lighting and bokeh. He was amazed at how the in camera effects looked photoshopped. The way he was blown away, he wanted his future clients to feel the exact same way.

Since then, Derrel has gone on to film several destination weddings in Costa Rica, Jamaica, Cuba, Mexico, and DR. He’s shot various ad campaigns for Nick Cannon’s Ncredible Brand, Hip Hop artists such as Royce Da 5’9” & Boi1da and various fashion shoots for different high end clothing brands and boutiques. He enjoys teaching off camera flash, he’s hosted lighting workshops at WPPI, PPA’s Imaging USA as well as the Photo Cookout.

When he’s not shooting, editing or filming his Youtube videos, Derrel enjoys long walks in the park (no really, he does... no lie), spending time with his family, learning History, listening to music on FULL BLAST and debating online why Wu-Tang is the greatest Hip Hop group of all time.
