DPPA’s membership meetings routinely take place the 2nd Tuesday evening of each month, except for August and December. Each meeting begins with registration and a social hour at which members are invited to network with each other and visit our vendor display tables. We are grateful for our vendors’ support and it's a great way to learn more about the products and services they offer.
Doors open at 6:15 pm for a time of fellowship, dinner is served at 6:45 pm for those that purchased a meal. It is very important that you RSVP online for the dinner, if you wish to enjoy the meal with us, so we can notify the meeting facility.

During dinner, our President welcomes members and visitors. We then have a brief period of announcements and presentation of the results in each category for the monthly photography competition. Click on “Print Competition Rules” on our website for complete information on how to enter and the various categories. Note: Only members can view print competition rules and strategy.
You are encouraged to enter examples of your work on a regular basis, and learn from the critiques our judges have to offer. By doing so, you will see a noticeable improvement in the overall quality of the work you produce, both for your clients and for your own personal satisfaction.
Following a short break, our program is presented by a guest speaker who addresses various aspects of our business, such as: weddings, portraits, family photography, children, seniors, marketing techniques, and editing practices. We trust you will find these programs to be very informative and helpful. Our meetings adjourn around 10:00 pm.
The only exceptions to the routine monthly meeting schedule on the 2nd Tuesday evening of each month occur when we have a Saturday/Sunday seminar, known as “The Little Red Schoolhouse”. It is usually held the middle of August, but check the website for exact schedule details.
Due to this seminar, we do not have a general monthly membership meeting at the usual location on the 2nd Tuesday evening for the month of August.
In December of each year, in place of a regular monthly meeting, we have our annual Awards Banquet at a specially-chosen local hotel facility. This gives us an opportunity to come together for a “fun” evening out where we enjoy fellowship, dinner together, and a program recognizing our members earning trophies for:
