Demystifying Advanced Photoshop – Explore, Embrace, and Exploit

Terri Butler

Join us to learn Advanced Photoshop techniques with Terri Butler, as she shares how to unlock the power of photoshop and speed up our workflow. She is known for her award winning fine art photography.

The program is about moving beyond the basics of Photoshop and learning how to customize the application to meet your unique workflow, whether you are a photo editor or an artist.  While someone can learn the basics of Photoshop in a few months, most masters know that you are always a student of Photoshop.

This program will focus on everything from the hidden gems of the interface, menus and panel options to demonstrating some of the more complex tools not often used by the novice Photoshop user.

You will:

  • Learn how to customize and save your workspace and toolbars.

  • Observe little known tips and tricks about some common tools.

  • Watch demonstrations of tools you may not use in your regular workflow.

  • See how to obtain free artifacts such as gradients, styles, patterns and brushes that come with your Adobe plan.

  • View demonstrations on the power of Adobe Camera Raw editor and how to leverage it from Photoshop and Bridge.

  • Learn how to use the Library module and build your own patterns and gradients.

  • Watch a demonstration on how to get FREE adobe stock images for compositing and art.

Terri describes herself as a creative more than just a photographer. Her website is branded “The Pixel Mixer” because it’s about capturing the digital pixels and making something creative with them.

Her journey into Photoshop Artistry has given her the opportunity to combine photography and art in creative ways without limits. “While rules of composition and lighting still apply, the additions of textures and embellishments to create works of surrealism and fantasy release me from the strict rules of perspective and depth of field required in typical image competition” she says.

Pre-meeting event:

5:30 PM to 6:30 PM.
