Texas Professional Photographers Association
The Texas Professional Photographers Association is our state PPA-affiliated organization. Founded in 1898, TPPA has a mission “to provide all photographers with an opportunity for success regardless of their professional aspirations, creative desires or personal interest in the craft of photography.”
TPPA is an organization focused on making better photographers through:
EDUCATION. Annual events include Texas School of Professional Photography, which welcomes more than 1,000 photographers who come to Addison to spend a week immersed in in-depth classes; I Heart Photography Conference & Expo, which features speakers and workshops in Grapevine; CPP classes, and seminars around the state on a variety of topics.
PRINT COMPETITION. The annual state print competition is a wonderful place earn recognition and awards for your images as well as feedback from judges prior to the PPA District and IPC competitions.
FELLOWSHIP. TPPA offers two levels of their Fellowship, the Associate Fellowship and the Full Fellowship. Both are earned by accumulating points by participating in and/or volunteering for events, succeeding in print competition, holding office, receiving PPA degrees, and presenting programs, among other things.
